A "fast track" green card is an employment-based green card which can be obtained much more quickly than the normal employment-based permanent residence for those who qualify. Expedited processing is available because these green cards do not require a labor certification. In some categories not even a job offer is required.
Normally, it is far less expensive in terms of legal costs. Some aliens have experienced another benefit: when they are seeking employment, some employers will be impressed with the fact that the alien has been accorded the highest possible classification under U.S. immigration laws.
